Privacy & Data

We collect minimal data and respect your privacy:

  • localStorage: We store a record of which memes you've voted on in your browser's localStorage. This prevents duplicate voting and stays entirely on your device—we never see it.
  • Analytics: We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites. We see aggregate page views and referrers, not individual users.
  • No cookies: We don't set any cookies. Really.
  • No third-party tracking: No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixels, no advertising networks.

This site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees about accuracy, completeness, or reliability of content. Meme death dates are subjective and may be disputed.

We are not liable for any damages arising from use of this site, including but not limited to: emotional distress from learning your favorite meme is dead, arguments with friends about whether a meme is "really" dead, or existential crises about the fleeting nature of internet culture.
